I recently managed to get hold of a thin (.140") game warden and as soon a i received it i knew it needed to lose some weight.

well it started like this

after i drilled out the flared tubes and go the black G10 scales off it went on a strict diet of 1/2" contact wheel and lost its gut rather quickly.

i had intended to use the G10 scales again but when i put then back on and flared the tube i did it a little too hard and split one :X

but i think that the Orange/black burl micarta is destructive to say the least! I also thinned out the edge and hand rubbed the blade.

Very cool!! How does it feel now? What differences are you experiencing now as a result of the change?

Sweet! I'm planing on skeletonizing the handle of the AD i'm working on, I was thinking of drilling, but grinding looks like a much better idea!

Where'd you get that micarta at? That looks ballin'!!

you wont even scratch INFI with a drill

the micarta us from Butch aka L R Harner

Very cool! I like the new micarta. How thin is the blade at the spine now? :D:thumbup:

That is unique...and very cool. So that's where Guyon's been getting this orange micarta idea from :)

very nice! I like it. That would look good paired up with a matching FBM

Looks awesome with the custom micarta:thumbup: Yeah, no kidding about drilling INFI. I have chipped and snapped my fair share of carbide bits drilling INFI.

WOW..that is a very nice setup!
