Such an underrated knife IMO. A Super version would be epic or a true satin finish style blade. The ergo's are amazing and has a Utilitarian blade shape. I polished the liners somewhat and installed Ano'd Ti hardware along with a Sterling Silver Thumbdisk and a pocket clip with an emblem I put on. This has easily my most favorite knife in my collection, practically on par with my BM Gravitator. It's also smooth which I made smoother and is rock freakin solid. I love this thing!

I like what you've done, very classy.
I got mine from a member here already modded with a thumbdisk and a regrind.

By design the Journeyman was suppose to be the do it all EDC.
Its not as scary looking as other Emerson designs.

Well I got the Ti Hardware from a guy in Thailand named Nathawut. He's on the forums but not on this one as much. The thumbdisk was bought on the bay from a guy on IG.

I remember seeing that one with the regrind Gooeytek. I want to do the same!

And it does it well! I like all of emersons designs but this one just look too good compared to all the ones with recurves and chisel grinds.

Ive wondered for some time now why people get a journeymen over a CQC-8?
 
Well, they've both got excellent ergos as with all Emersons, and I've pretty much handled almost all the models and they all feel great in the hand (cept maybe the 13, it felt a little cramped because my hands are um...muscular. yep, that's it). I like that the grip position on the Jman is forward, like on the 10, 7, Persian, etc, where your index finger is almost right under the pivot and your thumb is on top of the ramp at the beginning of the spine. I also like the Jman's blade shape more than the 8.

I think I am going to get a Journeyman now just because the silver thumbdisk on it rocks.

BTW, I already ordered the silver thumbdisk just for this and because of the OP pics.

...Now off to search for a perfect Journeyman.

I already have a Horseman (Mini-8) which is the main reason for the journeyman. Also it's handle shape was a winner for me.

I need to handle all the emersons so I can get a feel for them lol. Journeyman and the Roadhouse's handles are the best imo. I have yet to feel a 6 though...someday!

Journeyman for sure! I'm getting Commander when I save up some funds. I feel like that one is gonna be a beast!
