Ever since Kershaw introduced this design I had a plan in my head to mod it:thumbup:

Acid stone washed:
1)frame lock
2)liner
3)blade

polished:

1)flats of the blade to 1200 grit

2)detent ball for less friction.

Sharpened the edge to a mirror finished. (pictures were taken before I sharpened the edge)

let me know what you all think.

Looks nice. The clip looks a little out of place now due to the difference in finishes. I wonder if stonewashing the clip would completely remove the skull logo? Did the work you did to the blade to stonewash it remove the markings or when you polished the flats?

Over all, I like the look of the blade and the lock slab. What really makes the blade stand out to me is that there is no logos to take away from the grinds.

I was contemplating doing the clip but when I acid stonewashed the blade it covered up the etches. It was fine for the blade because I didn't care about those etchings, but for the clip I liked the skull. I may acid stone wash it eventually or mirror polish it. Not too sure yet.

looks good

Thank you.

Looks good to me too. I sort of agree with the comment on stonewashing the clip, if it won't lose the logo for you.

Nice work!

Looking good! i like the two tone on the blade and you did a nice job on polishing the flat of the blade.
