Just finished adding aluminum scales and backspacer by Caveman Knife Scales to my REX45 Manix 2. The scales entirely replace the stock G10 scales and steel liners, along with ditching the lanyard tube. The conversion doesn’t affect the weight compared to the Sprint Run Manix (with the drilled liners), it’s 4.3oz (122g) either way, but it’d drop 0.7oz off the regular G10 version. The biggest non-aesthetic improvement is getting rid of the excessive jimping on the stock liners. It’s much more comfortable in hand with a smooth handle.
