Modded my RC-3

I wanted to mod my RC-3 a bit. I really like the flat pomel on my RC-6 and the round one on the RC-4 so I did it to mine. After the finish was gone I stripped the rest of it and put a layer of patina on. I like how it turned out. By the way, I didn't know RC-3's were numbered?

Well, I have to say that's one of the ugliest RC-3s I have seen in a while but if that's what you like.... :D Besides, knives are made to cut, not to look pretty ;)

I just used vinegar to get the patina.

No the firesteel doesn't come with the sheath.

Gee thanks. I don't know how to take that, but I do wish it could hold a polish. I might just bust out the dremel...

I wasn't trying to be nice or mean. Your knife is ugly. With that said, I like ugly knives a lot better than pretty knives. I'm sick of all these posts that people put up with pristine knives, beautiful handles, etc. Knives are freakin' tools. Collectors and safe queen addicts shouldn't even be on this forum, IMO. So, I'm giving you a compliment on your ugly ass knife! :D

Spoken like a true Glock Man. That is not to say that I would not love to have a custom 1911 because I really prefer a .45 ACP and the Glock M21 is just too large for my hands...but what people can do with something is where I find beauty.

If you like ugly-ass beat up knives you should have a peek at the present state of my RC-3! I'm working on the 6 as well, and my Izula has gotten plenty of hard use, but since it's uncoated it doesn't show the scratches as badly...yet! :D

Ugly knives mean use. I don't abuse mine, but they sure get used. If TTD saw the RC4 he traded me months ago he might cringe! :D
