Here are some pics of a quick mod I did to my persistence. I had alot of drop point shaped blades so I wanted something different. Sorry for the massive, blurry pictures. They are cell phone pics.

I am thinking about trimming the handle down now that the blade is shorter. I dont know if I can clear the holes for the pocket clip screws. Im going to have to take it apart and see. Will grinding the liner down closer to the lockbar weaken it? And do I have to worry about heat treat on the locking liner?

Great looking mod:thumbup:. I don't see how grinding down the liner would affect the lock as long at you don't get too close to the bend on the lock bar.

Interesting mod. I've thought about converting my Persistance to a hawkbill with a bench grinder, but I'm pretty sure it'd do horrible things to the HT. Like what you did with the clip, looks awesome.

Thanks for the compliments. I really like the clip too. I think Im going to look for something to cut the handle off with now. Dremels broke and the hacksaw is broke. If you only do one pass with the grinder then cool it I dont think you would hurt the heat treat. It would just be a bit of work to get it back sharp.
