Modding the BK7

I have been wanting to do this project for awhile and finally had some time to start it.

Grips from a BK7. Using a soldering iron and begin stippling the plastic handle

Next step is to sand down the handle. At this point it's way to jagged to use and the sanding brings the grip down.

Next step is to stipple it again to build up the pattern and fill in areas that I missed on the first pass...

Man, I love me some BK7 action. Great blade.
 
man great job, I think I'd even go out on a limb and say that's the best one I've seen yet.. Kinda reminds me of a puma stone, very nice..
 
It does kind of look like a pumice stone. Very cool.

Looks like that would provide an excellent grip. Nice work!

Any hotspots from the modification?
