Model 1 options

After watching some of the early Ron Hood Woodsmaster videos again i'm going to finally break down and get a Model 1. It just really stuck out compared to some of the other knives he switched to in his later videos plus he made it look really functional. His had a leather handle and carbon steel blade which he said was 9" but I don't ever remember seeing that length available in the catalogs.

I'm going to try ordering through a dealer but have a couple of questions first. I've decided I want an 8" carbon steel blade, black micarta handle with nickle silver guard and duraluminum buttcap.

What is the spacer material in this pic of my long gone Model 23? I know black micarta but is it nickle silver or something else? I really like the looks of this style and want to get it on the 1.

Next question is does anyone have a pic of a Model 1 with the forward curved guard? I'm pretty sure I want the standard guard but wouldn't mind seeing this option first.

You have black and aluminum spacers on your 23. I believe the spacers are black fibre and aluminum. But I have been wrong before.
I have pics of forward curved hilts, but not on a Model 1.
You might want to look at RMK website, under extra features, there is a pic of a forward curved double hilt.
