Hello. Could anyone out there comment on the long term resilience of say a Randall Model 1 under rough but normal ("intended") use. Any experience with the blade getting loose in the handle or the guard wobbling around, that sort of thing? This question only applies to true "user" knives and the more mistreated the better. :D Any observations or experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Once in a while I have found the model 1 handle does get a little loose, never hade the guard get loose though. The handle I have is a leather stacked one, and it got loose once. The reasion has nuthin to do with quality controll, but every thing to do with were I live. Since RMKs are made in a hot wet climate and I live in a norther dry climate, the leather loses some of its moisture from the lack of humidity. I've found that with leather stacked handles (25 style not included) after about 2-6 months I have to use the tightning nut on the but of the knife, but I figure thats why its there, good forward thinking from the Randall department.
