Model 1 XL special order from the forum

Well, after selling my Model 1 with tigerstripe G-10 I got a message from a forum member who really liked it but wanted something larger with a blade between 5 and 6 inches long. Most of the blades I am working on are at heat treat right now, so I was able to get started on his project. He liked the overall shape of the Model 1 but he wanted to keep the spine nice and chunky so we cut out the swedge. He wanted the knife made with CPM 3V and I had a nice piece of .165" thick stock so that's what I used.

Here is a pic of the original Model 1 and a few shots of how his Model 1 XL is turning out so far. Thanks for looking, and input is always welcome.

Yep, there's some warp alright............on my workbench!:p I thought about that when I posted the pic but I didn't think anybody would actually believe that I'd post a picture of a knife that was jacked up that bad:D

Don't worry, she's nice and flat.
 
You know my opinion, I like the smaller one better:p

I should have my next small one back from HT this week and finished up some time next week. I found that once you sell one knife it leads to selling more knives.
