model #14 attack,sheath care advise

hello all,i am new to this site just need a little advice,i have a model 14 bought to use,is it ok to clean sheath with boot polish and stain the white stitching brown or is this sacrilege? must the stitching stay white and does it devalue the knife,your thoughts please,cheers

this is just my opinion... if you're going to keep it and use it who cares if it devalues the knife? but if you're worried about the value at all then i wouldnt do it.

daisy is right. People often modify sheaths. Best example may be those who remove the hone pouch to make for a flatter carry. I removed the bottom flaps (where the paracord ties go) from a couple of my Model 15 sheaths--one was a long-time user, and the second was intended to be a user.
