Model 14 - you design it, only 1 year wait.

Hello. I ordered a model 14 from Randall about 1 year ago (as you all know, there is about a 2-3 year wait). The intended recipient of this knife is no longer living. I was going to cancel my order, but I thought that perhaps someone here would like to "take over" the order and shave over a year's wait on a new #14.

The current config is:

7.5" blade
Regular 1/4" brass guard
"MOORE CD" etched in blade
Model "C" Black sheath
+ Randall Knife fighting Book.

The price is 273.50 + 10.00 shipping. I have paid $20.00 deposit, so the balance is 263.50. The expected ship date is: 12/11/03.

So, does anyone here want to take this order over for say, $260-280, and of course you may then call and change what you want on it...?

Hi again... I am planning on leaving this thread up here for 1 week. After that, I am calling Randall so they can cancel this knife and bump someone else up one slot on the waiting list. My point is, if you want to take over this knife order, let me know ASAP.

I'm a little confused. Do you want someone to cover your costs and take the knife when it comes in? Or, do you want someone to pay you 260 to 280 for your place in line and then pay Randall for the knife?

I didn't sleep well the last couple of nights and am now more easily confused than usual. Please use small words and simple phrasing.

Sorry about the confusion. I figured that if someone wanted to take over this knife order (and Randall Knives would allow him/her to do so), he/she could send me the $20 I have on deposit (paypal, check, or otherwise) and then pay the balance on the knife (to Randall Knives) when it is finished. I am not trying to make any $$ here...just trying to give another "my place in line."
