Model 1500 by Onion?

I came across a model 1500 today had never seen one before, was wondering if this knife has speedsafe? Is there anything else to know about this knife as in was it limited and when was it discontinued? I like to learn as much as i can about all the kershaw knives so any info would be helpful thanks
 
Ats-34 blade, assisted, micarta scales. Ken onion design, discontinued for at least 5 years.

Oh well. Shoulda grabbed one while I had the chance, but new dammies were coming out and I couldn't jump. :o

Yeah it's a Mini Task and it's awesome and beautiful wharnie goodness.

ive been collectng for only 6 months or so now but its first one ive ever seen......i may pick this one up just for that reason
