Model 16 special fighter

How about a comparison review? I had a similar set and was amazed how much livelier the model 1 felt.

Still its hard to beat a SP1 special fighter. Its like a well optioned model 1 for a bargain price.

I weighed them today and was surprised the model 16 weighed 12.7 ounces. The model 1 weighed 12.9 ounces. I thought the 16 should weigh more with that mostly full tang. It Must be the buttcap on the model 1. I like the 16 better.
 
I would have thought the same thing. Is it a nickel silver butt cap?
 
The 1-8, I sold handled like a fencing sword compared to my SP1, but the SP1 sold first. Go figure. The only reason I kept my 1-7 over the 1-8 was my name is engraved in the1-7.

I hope the guy who bought it likes it as much asI did. Lol.
