Greetings Camillus collectors/fans :) AS you can probably guess by my name I am mainly a Spyderco collector but I've always had a lot of respect for Camillus knives as I had many of them throughout the years. If I remember correctly even my old 1960's era Cub Scout knife was made by Camillus.

Well the reason I'm checking in with you guys/gals is because I think I may have a collector piece I need your opinions on. I got a fixed blade Camillus knife at a garage sale. It is a really nice looking design and comes with a really classy leather sheath. It has the number "4" on the sheath and it also has the number "4" on the knife itself.

I was wondering what you all could tell me about that model :) ??

heres the link to Irv's Camillus site, really cool and alot of info and catalogs, etc

Thanks a million Ivan>> I'm going there now. And anyone else that might have some input on that blade I'm anxious to hear what anyone knows about it. I had once heard that some of the older Camillus and Case fixed blades were some of the best from that era. Interesting needless to say.

no problem,
1)what kinda handle does yours have, wood, plastic fake stag, etc.
2) and how is the knife marked?
3) How many lines on the stamp?
4) How long is the blade?
5) Is it a hunting general purpose knife or more of a military fighting/survival look about it?
sounds like a nice score man
