I was at a gunshow this weekend and there was a dealer with a Model 4 with a stag handle brass pommel and brass guard. It was made in 1954. He had the original sheath plus a new one for it. The knife was in fair to good condition as it was well used. The original sheath was in the same fair to good condition. The knife sold for $965.00. My question is was that a good price or was it worth more then that? Thanks

Proably was worth more, but I would have to see the knife and sheath. As far as the 1954, that seems pretty definite unless he had the original bill of sale.

Thanks Rhett, from the condition of the knife, I thought it would have sold for more. The date was on the knife. Probably a request by the original owner.

Hey Scott,

We just picked up an older #4-6 stacked leather model of roughly the same vintage for a few hundred less. We purchased from a friend, and were just tickled with the deal at that price...no extra sheath though ;)

How you doing Mel ;) That stag Randall was making me drool. :D A little more then I could afford but it's always a pleasure to see the old ones up close.
