don´t really need a khukuri, but I have always wanted one.
so I have pretty much decided on an 18 or 20" model.
but which one?
want to use it for heavy chopping,if I will use it at all.
is the ang khola the way to go or are all of them suited for heavy chopping,as long as I don´t use it too much/often?
I´ve read no one has broken the handle/tang of the ordinary model so there is probably no need to go for the chiruwa(means full tang/slab handles, right?)?
I guess a lot of you will tell me I will end up with one of each anyway, and you´re probably right, but let´s at least pretend I will only get one:D

Personally, I prefer the Chiruwa...

If you want a powerful chopper with great cleaving power, the AngKhola is the way to go. The GangaRam and M43 models looks like they would be good heavy choppers also.

I have an AngKhola, two Chitlangi's, and a long Sirupati. All of them are good for heavy use and very strong blades.

The 18" Ganga Ram is a great knife. The 18" AK is also well suited for the job. Those would be my two picks for a heavy chopping khuk. If you want something with a little more flair but will handle most anything you throw at it, check out the M43:thumbup:

The Ganga Ram can certainly get the chopping done and it has nice feedback. I would also consider the indomitable Ang Khola. The AK might be easier to acquire, a good Ganga is hard to find if you restrict your shopping to the deal of the day posts. Good luck:) Left to right in photo AK, Ganga, and Sgt Khadka special.

once again, thank you gentlemen.knives have been ordered, that´s all I have to say.
one small,one bigger:D

Don't count out the WWII. I've got one by Kumar that comes in at 18.5"/ 28oz. By no means the biggest of the big but not exactly dinky, either.
