I was wondering if there is a reason as to why the model number is not etched into the blade?

I have not seen this addressed before but could be that I overlooked it.

Thanks

I just didn't think there was a need to. The number is on the certificate of authenticity. Really it would just mean buying another stencil and sitting there for twice the time to mark the blades. Seems like a waste of time and money to me. Know what I mean Vern?

Roger that.

Just put my Certificate of Authenticity in my Armageddon proof vault. That bad boy is never going to see the light of day again… Well maybe not forever, Once Fletcher knives start selling for a million buckaroos on the black market I might part with it… And that is a Big Might ;)

In all seriousness Thanks Dylan for the explanation and for making kick ass blades

No problem bro. I'll keep making them as long as you guys keep buying them. ;)

What happens when the certificate goes missing or is destroyed, or god forbid the creator is no longer available to verify the authenticity of the blade?

I don't think a number on the blade would make a big difference if the certificate is gone and I'm dead. lol. If someone has the means to make a copy, I'm pretty sure they can etch a number.
