Model Number Question

I have seen some Benchmade knives sold in blister packs, and their model number will have a "CP" at the end of it. Where are these usually sold that are in these packs and not boxes, and what does the "CP" mean?

Clamshell Packaging is my guess, but it's just a guess.

i believe the clamshell packaged knives are sold to military personnel on base. at least that’s the only place i’ve ever heard of them coming from

Makes sense because I think the guy selling them is from a military town.

Yep, this stands for Clamshell Pack. They are mostly sold on military bases.
