I am generally worried about stuff that I send to Nepal but ems seems to get the job done with only minor hassles with customs people. But, the models arrived safely in Nepal and are in the hands of the kamis who are studying them. Bob, they were a bit mystified at you model but said they thought they could duplicate it ok. And the pronounced Terry's M-43 model as "quite a good model."

Stay tuned. We should be seeing something in steel in about a month or so.

WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!! Can't wait to see the M43 in person. I think I can wait about a month. Maybe!

Thanks for the notice Uncle Bill. Mystified huh, well I guess we will see what comes out of this. It will be an exercise in communication/interpretation to say the least. Uncoventional has it's down sides to be sure.

I think they will come close to the model, Bob. They have not seen anything quite like it but that doesn't mean they can't make it.

I don't have doubts about the Kami's skills, I know their work is first rate. It is more of a doubt that this creation of mine is sound to begin with.;) I am most interested to see how it turns out. This whole situation is amusing in a way. This is my first try at anything like this and it is fun. If I end up with a frankenstein one of a kind knife with no practical use at all, at least it will be a great curio.

Bob, I've got a feeling that knife of yours is going to be tougher than nails (literally) and will do more work than we might imagine.

Bob I think your design is really good. But appears to be very job/task specific. My only fear ,knowing how the Kamis build to last, would be the end weight. I forgot if you mentioned how thick the blade is to be. other than that you have a cool design.
