How long or how many posts to I need before my posts no longer require moderator approval?

Thanks!

I have no idea. It's determined by an algorithm in a program that suggests possible problem posts.

Not sure how the algorithm works but I can assure you that, aside from being a brand new member, I haven't posted anything that could possibly be considered a problem. I'm a mod on another large forum and their vBulletin is set up so that a new member's posts/threads only require moderation the first time they post a pic. I'm sure they're all set up a little differently.

No worries. I'll carry on and follow up if my posts continue to require moderation.

Just approved the above.:)

It has to do with your IP address, subnet mask, and other issues. If people with your same subnet mask and matxhing octects of your modems IP address have been banned or reported to stopspam or anti spam services, it would trigger. No idea how the owner has it set up here, but that is what happens in a nutshell.

So how do we resolve this problem? I'm not usually one to complain but this is quickly becoming very frustrating. I'm logging in using Chrome on my PC via through Verizon FIOS and occasionally through my phone with Tapatalk.

I belong to several firearms forums and all are using version of vBulletin. Never had this problem before and I'd appreciate if we can resolve.

Just approved the above. Sorry for the delay. Just got home from work.

It's not exactly a problem if the software is working the way it should. If you are concerned, shoot Spark an email (site owner)

It's certainly a problem for me. I'm certainly not a threat to the site. I'm not accessing through any unusual means, never spammed anyone etc. There's no reason that all my posts should require moderator approval. All I want to do is be able to participate like everyone else.

We'll do.

Apparently the problem's now resolved. The last post went through without the need for approval.

I'm having the same problem - all my posts need moderator approval. I'm new on here. Anyone know how to get it to post instantly? Pretty frustrated that I can't participate...

Read your thread, and my reply in this one. You are participating. There is software in place doing a job, we have no control over who it deems a potential spammer or not. Simple having a little patience and allowing the system to work the way it needs to is all that is needed.

Looks like that when you registered, you put your birthdate in showing that you are younger than 13. That put your account into a hold status thanks to the Feds requiring COPPA approval before kiddies post crap online.
