I had a question on forum etiquette for the Custom and Handmade Knives subforum. I sent a message to Darby (listed as the moderator) but never received a response. After checking out his profile, I notice that he hasn't posted since 2012.

Is there a new moderator for this forum?

Is there another person to whom I can direct the following question?:
As a maker, when I have completed knives, I will often post photos and stats to the Custom & Handmade subforum. Is it acceptable to add language to the bottom of my C&H posts indicating that the knife is available for sale in the Exchange? I had noticed a few other makers doing this... but don't want to break any rules.

Thanks in advance.

Erin

Your best bet until this is resolved is to report the question so the Supers can see it and get it addressed. :)

Hi, I'm sorry, we don't have a currently active moderator for Custom & Handmade. Spark was looking for someone but it doesn't look like he found anyone.

C&H is reslly a discussion forum, not the right place for a sales pitch, no matter who gets away with it. :)

Any sales offers belong in the Exchange, but with a Gold membership or higher, you can use your signature line, as you know.

By the way, speaking of your signature line, I saw a story in the BBC online today about a tranquilized bear who bolted forthe water and was drowning. One of the men there jumped in to rescue him.

Esav is right. Discuss the aspects of the knife, receive feedback, critique from other makers, and some of the legends that happen to pop in from time to time. Sales should go in the Exchange, always.
