Hey guys.
I've been down and out for a while and have been preoccupied with completing the coursework for my School Administration degree. Can't say I have had the chance to do much as the coursework is pretty time intensive. I've still managed to take the occasional trip but I have limited time online to spend here or report as frequently as I used to. On top of that, I suffered a broken bone in my hand around the new year and had trouble doing much outdoors. I'm finally getting back to my usual self and wanted to update everyone as to what's happening on this end.
-I'm honored to be teaching a private seminar for a martial arts organization I belong to this July. It is one of the highlights of my outdoors educational career thus far. I'm proud and extremely excited to cover this information I rarely share with anyone.
-Look for upcoming reviews of various knives from Blindhorse and Andy Roy in the next couple months. These have been a long time coming and are going to take a skills base in each review.
-Sign up for the Sportsmen's Dinner in the Adirondacks on March 19th where Marty Simon and I are both presenting survival related topics.
-Keep posted for free weekend rendezvous information for Labor Day weekend at the Wilderness Learning Center. We'll have the usual mini-seminars, fireside demonstrations, trade blanket, and much much more!
-Look for articles in the latest edition of Self Reliance Illustrated from Joe Flowers and me about black widow spiders and a new Gossman knife respectfully.
-Plan on getting out more. I will post at least 2 weeks ahead of time any trip I am attending and will welcome any forum member interested in going. There will be a 20+ mile canoe trip in NH/ME in June/July and a few weekend overnighters in the early spring. What's 24-48 hours right?
Again, I'll be back on more frequently and sorry for the lack of a presence here on the forums. You guys are posting some great threads and showing serious skills. Good work.
