Modern knife for historical/fictional characters

It's just a little thought experiment. I wondered what modern knives you would recommend to historical figures or fictional characters. I realize this could be viewed as off-topic for this forum, but you're a fun bunch of people and I thought your suggestions would vary widely, but still center around survival.

if you watch the TV series Warrior, the characters sometimes use knives that were definitely not around during the 1870's when the events depicted supposedly took place. Stainless steel flipper knives, automatic knives etc. Back then it was more like friction folders or slipjoints.

For instance:

I can see George Washington carrying a high-end Sebenza.
Rambo should have a big Bowie Knife.
Jim Bowie should have a big Rambo Knife.
David Bowie should carry a slip-joint pen knife
and Hugh Glass should carry a friggin' light Saber
