Most of the good patina pics are in the Traditional forum, it seems. What do you have in modern knives or new steels that have developed a nice patina?

I've been cutting a lot of foodie things with this REX45 Native and am beginning to get some nice color on it. When you're used to stainless supersteels, it's different and fun!

Awesome pics my dudes! Now we are getting some replies; they look fantastic. I love the M4 and REX Spydercos; they took on the patina really nicely. And the pineapple juice on that fixie almost looks intentional - very cool. What steel is that blade?

Well... there I was , innocently cutting up some fresh pineapple with my new DMC knife, in 8670 steel .

I somehow happened to ,"almost intentionally" , sandwich the knife between two big rind scraps, for about half an hour . 😇

Seems like a good tough steel , but does patina pretty easy .

Hey, nothing wrong with that. A lot of guys put "use marks" on gear in far more "intentional" ways.. at least you actually cut up that pineapple. Haha

Spectacular blades! 🤌

I gotta go cut some more stuff with my REX knives and work on this patina. I'm being left behind. Haha
