What are some modern production lockbacks with the following features?

-good steel (> AUS8)
-one-handed opening
-not from Cold Steel, Spyderco, Al Mar or Fantoni (already aware of these)

Seems like this is the age of ti framelocks... :p

I see them now and then but I can't think of any particular one off hand.

Try A.G. Russell. They probably have a lot of lockbacks. Maybe Case...some of the more traditional retailers.

You've narrowed the field a lot with the one hand opening requirement. Maybe a BM axis lock may be close? Darn good lock and one hand opening and closing. Many models and steel types to choose from.

There are quite a few makers still with lock backs but not one hand opening. Unless you add one of those clamp on studs you can get. Or a modder could likely add a thumb stud for you easy enough.

The Axis isn't a lock back. The OP stated in the title a lock back, one hand opening, etc.
AG Russell has a couple different models. Pohl Force also has some really nice pieces, while not super glamorous or exotic I am fairly sure they can do the job. Boker has a few nice pieces (German made), Buck, and a couple others can't think of them right now.

Lion steel is coming out with the tm1 as well. It has seipner steel.

I was just gonna post "how in the world has nobody mentioned lionsteel?" but you beat me to it!

I have the g10 opera, and their D2 is very good stuff, better than some others I've tried.

Yes, I know the axis isn't a lock back. That's why I said it may be close to what he was after. I just mentioned that as a possible option the OP may not have considered. I was trying to be helpful. I'll be quiet now. I defer to your judgement.

The brand new LionSteel TM1 are lockbacks with IKBS, Sleipner steel blade (satin or black) (3.5"x0.18") and an integral solid one-piece frame made from a block of either Micarta or Carbon Fiber. Very smooth and easy one-handed ambidextrous operation.

Here's a thread on the TM1: Lionsteel TM1 (SRX)

That TM1 looks really cool, wow. I had not seen that before, 4D! Woo Hoo!

No need to get upset Joe, it's all good. The only lock back knives I can think of that Benchmade makes is the Bone Collector stuff, but the ones I remember are with a nail nick.

Benchmade-Lonewolf Landslide is one, now disco'd iirc.

A great budget lock back is the boker 3000. Ti bolsters and 440c blade, and I can testify that boker's 440 is great, I say very close to vg-10 or 154cm. Mistwalker has done some great reviews on boker's 440.
