Guys, I'm just wondering who makes the modern made 'Pine Knot' knives that I see selling on ebay for a couple of bucks? Is this yet another case of a fine and respected old name in knives getting whored out?

About 10-15 years ago, Colonial Knife Company made a number of 4" 3-blade stock knives, assorted handle colors, with the old "PINE KNOT" tang stamp. SMKW sold a lot of these. I would not be surprised if Bluegrass Cutlery owns the PINE KNOT trademark, as it was a brand used by Belknap Hardware, and they own those trademarks.

Thank you! Yes, the knives I have seen have been all stockmen, and do look exactly like the colonial Rangers. Thanks for your info.
