Hi, here is my modern take on a tanto. I wanted to do a version of the cord wrapped, tactical tantos that have become popular, while trying to keep as much of the traditional blade as possible. I tried to keep the classic profile, I kept the ridged spine, I used rayskin, but just as inserts under the wrap. And I used paracord, mainly cause thats what I had. Tried my best to do the traditional knots, but tricky with two strand cord.
Blade is water hardened w2. Polished to around 600g and a quick dip in ferric.
