Modern titanium designs?

Hello all,

I have been looking at various custom titanium framelocks, and love designs like the Jens Anso Haddock. However, those knives are rather limited in production. Do you guys know of any other knives or makers that would fall into this area?

Much thanks in advance,

Al

How about a Spyderco Ti Military?

Hi alman123 -

You may want to look at the A.G. Russell Acies, and as has been mentioned here already, the Kershaw Volt (there are a few blem's left in the exchange - production knives by dealers).

I personally have an Acies and I love it - and carry it every day.

I also have a Volt blem on the way - and I anticipate that I will love that design as well.

Both, incidentally, are manufactured by Kershaw.

best regards-

- In case you didn't know, Böker offers a production version of the Haddock.
- And, a very clean upcoming Boker Plus is this elegant knife with a ceramic blade and Ti framelock, for an ok price.
- I assume you know about the Spyderco Sage 2? Lovely thing.

My biggest recommendation, is the Mini Explorer, a lovingly crafted Belgian custom by Filip DeCoene. I made this video about it to discuss it in all details.

A.G. Russell folding Sting
Cuda Dominator
Combative Edge M1
Kershaw Ti Leek
Kershaw Ti Cyclone
Strider SNG/PT/SMF

Those are some of the titanium framelock production knives that I can think of right now off the top of my head. The ones with stars are ones that I have personal experience using and highly reccomend.

The Benchmade 755 MPR, which I have, is like the new Boker Haddock - half Ti/half G10. Here are the Ti-handled knives I have - warning - no Sebbies!

L-R Benchmade 630 Skirmish (S30V), 760BK L-Ti (M4), 635BK Mini-Skirmish (S30V); Kershaw 1725SG2 JYDII (SG-2); Buck 560XLT (420HC). Not shown is a 'blemish' JYDII indistinguishable from the pictured one save it's unequal SG-2 lamination widths. Also not shown - my Buck 172 TNT - a more polite design - with S30V - great dress-up carry. Sadly, the BM 760 is the only thing I have that is a full Ti-handled knife still in production.

I recommend a Rick Haney folder. His LL's are all that you you need so his FL's are overkill.

Thanks MrDagon007, love your videos :D Awesome responses, thanks to all. What about knives with very thick titanium?? Including of course the MPR.

The Camillus CUDA MAXX with 5.5" or 7" blade.
The Lochsa by Scott Cook.
Brad Zinker customs.

XM-18
Tom Mayo TNT
Shane Sibert Pocket Rocket & Mini Pocket Rocket
Yuna
Strider
Sebenza
Tim Galyean Pro Series & custom
Matt Cucchiara
GTC
DDR

All these makers I own. They all make frame locks.

One of my first Ti Framelocks was the Buck/Mayo TNT. Not too expensive, great steel in the BOS HT S30V, excellent grind and finish on the blade, the handle is rounded and nicely done. Overall, it's a great knife in a nice compact package. I guess it wouldn't be a bad place to start.

I just got my Ti JYDII last monday , it is easy for to say it's my new favorite knife.

Excellent knife in all respects.
