Modern tomahawks?

I have seen some tomahawks that appear to have cast heads, but how are modern tomahawks made? Do they start with a block of steel and machine it out from there or are they still cast and finished by hand?

The best ones are still forged, especially the ones with the hard steel insert forge/welded to the head. Some of these are still around.

go to the manufacturers forums and go to american tomahawk co.(ATC), they are the bomb from what i understand.....
