Picked this up at the Austin Gun Show the weekend before last. It's what I call a "modern" traditional pocketknife. It's a Case #10275 "Moose" with Tru-Sharp stainless blades and G-10 handle scales. It's well-nigh indestructible! The blades take and hold a good edge, and the handle scales are quite slim and well-fitted. Overall, I am very pleased with this "modern" rendition of a fine old pattern!

rwc53, was that the monthly show at the old Target down south? I was meaning to check it out but was camping that weekend. Good pickup!

I think he's talking about the Saxet show. It's now out at the Travis County Expo Center on Decker ln in East Austin. I was there for a couple hrs. I came for the guns but spent more time looking at the knives. I almost bought a very nice Camilius stockman for only $20 but there just wasn't any snap on the spey blade. I told my buddy "I gotta get outta here before I start buying a bunch of knives", then later that evening I told him, "I'm going back to that show next month to buy up all those knives I wanted".

It was the first Saxet show I had been to in a few years and I was impressed. Guns available cheaper than Academy at a gunshow?? I thought I'd never see the day.

I like the look of that one.

Looks like it was made to WORK! Guess I hadn't noticed before, but I like how Case is once again emulating the shields from the '60s - '70s era. I've been accumulating some knives of that vintage, and it's one of the traits I like about those knives.

I used to live near Austin, and walked the aisles of the Saxet show on many occasions. Bought at least a few knives there, too. I miss that monthly 'fix' for my knife addiction. :(

Yep, it was definitely the SAXET show at the Exposition Center. I'm over here in Iraq right now, so won't be able to make the November show, but plan on being at the December show to see what other fine knives I can find.
