Modified 52100??

What is done to 52100 to make it SR-101?
I know that at some point they made a modified INFI, that wasnt 100% successful...to my knowledge, Busse took a certain element out to make it modified.

If you were to take a piece of unmodifed 52100, that was properly heat treated vs. SR-101, what would be (if any) the difference in performance...overall?

M-INFI was not unsuccessful, it was used in a different grade of knife with great success.

modified infi was a different chemical composition of steel, where as sr101 is still 52100 in composition, but with a very extensive heat treatment applied to it.

at least, thats how I understand it...
