This started out as a Schrade 33OT which had a bent spey blade and sheep's foot with no snap which also set so high that it was uncomfortable to hold when using any blade but it. ( A very late production Walmart example that was like this when I got it new )
I took it apart a while ago to try and convert it into a single blade slipjont, but I just couldn't make it happen.

Today I decided I could still do something with the clip blade, so I turned it into a friction folder.

The handle was hot shaped ( can't really call it forged )out of some old sheet metal, the bail is forged out of a nail, and I pressed in a strip of leather to keep the blade from being pushed in all the way.

Using a friction folder is something I'll have to get used to, but I don't think it'll be too hard.

very cool! reminds me of the story of one of my earliest traditionals. It was a pakistani made 2 blade trapper with green scales. I remember taking it a part to try to make it a single blade trapper and cracked the scales. The pieces are still here as I disassembled the knife again when I learned more about traditionals. The spring strength had disappeared after i took it apart and only awhile back did I finally figure out why :D:D:D
