I'm a newbie to the forums but have been around knives my whole life. I got my BK 2 last week. After lurking on the site I got a few ideas and went for it. I absolutely did bit like the large belt loop hole In the BK2 sheath. Don't know what kabar was thinking. But having some left over 511 radio holder with molle on the back gave me some ideas. I used backing for my sheath holder and had it modded by my local shoe repair man who loves doing these challenges. Not bad for now. It will let me choose my way of carrying the knife , whether it be on my Camelbak or on my belt. It'll do for bow until I can get one of them nice leather ones like Moose's. Let me know what y'all think.

Very good man, very creative. Hang out awhile. you'll pick tons of ideas for modding gear. None of us is as smart as all of us.

Nice job, I also recently did the same thing....

the belt loop does suck that comes with the BK2, Welcome to beckerville.

I will get a pic of that when I get home. That's the best part of the sheath. It has two Molle straps that can adjust to a belt or other Mille equipment.

At least you don't have the Kabar Gen1 BK Sheath. The newer ones that are around are pretty sweet......I'm going to pick up another BK2 and convex it just to get the new sheath and then put a tek-lok or make a MOLLE Back like yours.

Would you mind posting some more pics of the back and how it attaches to the kydex?

Just took a radio holder I bought at the army surplus and used it. I had the shoe repair friend of mine pop out the old rivets, removed original loop, then punched new holes and rivets into the new 511 radio holder with Molle straps. It's real solid and versatile. Really want one of Moose's leather holsters though. I will get more pics up tonight.

Wow! the back looks excellent, almost like the other one I made but yours looks alot better.....

As much as I would like to take credit, the work was done by my friend who owns the shoe repair shop. 511 supplied the radio holder. And I supplied the vision I guess. I almost had the shop make me a Molle backing on the existing sheath, but opted to put the finished Molle piece on.

Both of those sheath mods look great. I'll have to locate some fabric at the local craft stores and see if I can use my mom's sewing machine.....or go goodwill/thrift store shopping for one.
