There's a story behind the origins of this project and can get quite lengthy---so I'll cut to the chase. Here's the deal, the handles have been burnished with a wire wheel from a Dremel that give it a very Industrial mottled appearance allowing the original blue to mix with the brushed aluminum. This knife is new and never used or carried, it has cut a couple pieces of paper.

It also knocked down the very sharp edges of the original Presidio handles. Comments to how great the original knife is are abundant but so are the complaints on how the sharp edges tear up pants pockets.

So the handle now has this "distressed" Industrial look to it---not for everyone so please save your comments for another thread:) The edges are smooth allowing for "No Snag" draw when extracting the knife from your pants pocket.

The concern about the Original Aluminum handles becoming nicked and dinged are now a thing of the past.

In addition I removed the original back spacer and replaced it with two barrel spacers allowing for very easy maintenance and a cool clean look. The original spacer comes with the knife. I also polished the clip to a satin like finish. The knife locks up solid and the blade is nicely centered. Comes with black box, papers and cloth bag.
