Great job brother. I love em. BTW how are you working that aluminum , on a mill or just with a grinder of some sort?
Here is my one that I did too.

your kirinite sage looks excellent!

i'm waiting on some new equipment as of now but for the aluminum i just punched 1/8" holes around the outline (with drill press) and followed up with dremel metal cutting wheels.

as you can imagine it was complicated job with those tools.

there's definitely a learning curve to all of this but i find that it's therapeutic for me.

thanks for checking out the thread and for the kind words.

Good to know.
I was curious. I have a new dremel with some bits. But I need to expand to the box of cutting tools and the sanding kit. Ive never really used one before. Im just used to other machinery and tools. I only have it for these darn patterns that folks want on knives. Which is messy for me and hideous IMO.
Either way, I will look into these cutting disks.
Take care,
Matt

check out the ez lock mandrel and attachments if you're going to use it frequently.

they allow for a nice quick change of discs etc..

what do you normally use to cut your scales out?

bandsaw?

your work is very clean.

I will look into that and thank you.
I do all of my holes first using templates and guage pins.
Then the band saw for the rough cut about 1/16 or less from the handle. The finish with a flush cut 1/4 inch bit on my route table. I have a few different methods that vary from that.
My router table is a big cabinet I built.
