Greetings and Merry Christmas to All:

I had a short piece of CPM-154, a short set of sambar stag scales, and a scrap guard that was machined oversized for a bowie project, all which wouldn't work for a classic Loveless style dropped hunter. With some modifications, this is what I came up with. Definitely not a knife for the Loveless purist, but I like how it came together. All comments welcome.

V/R,

TK

.200" CPM-154 stock
HT to Rc 60-61
7 7/8" OAL
3 1/2' Hollow ground blade
Exhibition Grade Sambar Stag scales
Tapered tang with red liners
Pinned/soldered guard
Stainless furniture
Mirror finish
Rounded spine, ricasso, butt
African Blackwood inlay
Finger serrations on guard
8-10 oz Loveless style RH high/low ride sheath

Now that would make an excellent caper, nice size handle with a compact blade is perfect.
Rob

Thanks for the comment! The picture is misleading - much too big for a caper. I make a smaller version out of 1/8" stock that does the trick.
