Wanted to show my take on Estwing Tomahawk, haven't seen any on the forum or the internet but I may have missed them. First I sanded down the leather handle for a more streamlined look and grip, then grooved the grip on the flats. After that I used the spiral para cord wrap for a good grip. Only thing left to do is modify the spike end, I think it may get caught up after piercing something because of the protruding shoulders and a flick of the wrist may turn the spike and it would be difficult to get out.
The second is a no name half hatchet that I ground on belt sander and hand files. The handle is from an old axe that I carved down and then para cord spiral wrap. After this I filed teeth for use with a ferro rod, it works quite well. Hope you like them.

Sorry about the order but photobucket gives me a fit.

That Estwing is a good deal for the money. Home Depot, plus $40 equals a one piece hammer forged steel hawk.
A compounding wheel on a bench motor will put a nice contour on the spike, as well as cleaning the blade for sharpening on a stone.
I have the blue one, rubberized grip, handy in my truck for when green slime zombies crawl out of the exhaust pipe of the guy ahead of me in traffic.

Nice wrap job. Ceremonial paddle wrap inspired. I put the same wrap on my SOG zombie smasher. Looked great but not real comfortable when using.

Your handle jobs and wraps look like they would cause hot spots and blisters with any amount of use.
Interesting, but not for me.
