Here is a modifed HR in a "KyPly" sheath.

The sheath has adjustable tension (a concept I pioneered and executed in 1996)

The blade has a rounded butt (love round butts!) :D and an enlarged choil so my finger actually fits.

The blade has also been stripped and bead blasted (double cut?)

The sheath is assembled using screws instead of eyelets. This allows the user to unfasten the screws and FULLY and COMPLETELY clean the interior of the sheath.

All in all, a nice package.

I posted this over on the Busse forums at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=555367 and then saw that David E has posted a new sheath over here in Rat-land as well.

My new Chopweiler sheath...

This looks like a good place to post a few pics of a sheath that David E recently crafted for me.

The workmanship, design, fit & finish are A+.

In the third pic you can see how the kydex is molded to "pop" into the rivit hole, the same idea as the SJ Talon hole lock in this thread. For the pics I didn't have the knife seated all the way into the sheath.

The effort required to pull the knife out of the sheath is excellent and the thumb push off has me spoiled.

I like the ability to open up the sheath in the field to clean it out so screws over rivits is a plus.

This sheath holds the knife by the handle, not the blade so there are zero rub marks. There is a tension adjuster built in so that I can change the grip tension if desired.

Fits one (or two) TekLoks with the versatile hole placement along the side. I wanted the option to rig this in a variety of carry styles.

Am I happy? YES! Big  to KyTak.

David, Great sheathes again!!!

VOXHOG, Thanks for posting that. I have been kicking it around about getting a kydex for my CWs as well as my leathers. Just need to wait about 1-month for a little extra coinage. Spent $1000 + last night on the forum, and $1300.00 on the car this week. I think I had better contact Dave. I to really like the thumb break, it's super funtional. Being able to adjust the tention is outstanding as well.

Thanks to both of you!!!

That is one of the COOLEST kydex sheaths I've ever seen!:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks for posting the pics!
