Modified Mora sheaths? Anybody make the handle fully accesible?

I have a Mora 546G on the way, and I'd really like it if you could grab the entire handle, but the sheath covers some. Has anyone cut off part of the sheath? Does it still retain the knife adequately?

Here's how I did my Mora Craftsman. Took the plastic sheath, cut off the belt loops, and built leather around it.

I believe there are some sheath makers on here that make some good sheaths for the Mora. Maybe they will post up. I was looking at getting a 2010 survival model (could be wrong on the model) but I've read to many bad reports on bad quality mora's that I'm holding off until I can pick one out at a store. BTW my Craftsman with black handle came sharp and well made. But I had picked it out at a store.

There are many ways to modify the original sheath. This is one way that will keep the knife in place fairly good.
