Didn't like the Grivory scales on the Rajah 2 so I made some out of aluminum. Got rid of the plastic back spacer and heavy steel liners; I call it Rajah 2.5:

how did you make the new handle?

when you close it and the blade falls on your finger, is the blade dull at the part that hit's your finger?

The blade has one half-inch at the heel that is a non-sharp area. If your finger is in the groove, the heel hits it before the edge does when closing. The blade is still factory sharp and will shave hair.
The handles were traced out using the stock Grivory scales as templates then the sawed out with a variable-speed Delta scroll saw. I used a bench mounted router to do the curves followed by a combination sander to get the final shape of the new scales. The old steel liner was used in a drill press as a drill guide for the pivot, lock bar, lanyard hole, and Triad pin locations.
I picked up the knife for $30.00 at the last Cold Steel parking lot sale here in Ventura.

Good deal. I really like the look of your work. I always liked that style of knife, which is why my first Spyderco was a stainless handles Endura.

Thanks! Same here for the Endura... I carried the Endura stainless for years, then went to a Spyderco G-10 Military (which I also modified). The Endura is now my bar and kitchen knife, the Military is my restaurant knife. I now EDC one of two large Espadas (62NL for dress/62NGL for work) or the customized Rajah in the video.
