cricket did it to his, and he never misses a chance to post photos... :) search his posts and the photo thread....they're all there.

hi, what i did was use a 320grit sanding drum and eyeballed the spots on the grips you should probably mark it before starting to make it symmetrical. i just did it all by eyeball and didn't measure.

Thats the one thanks. i hope you dont mind me using your idea but that looks hot and is functional.

Very nice! I have been contemplating getting some checkering done to the handles of a 6 and Junglas (from the local gun gurus)...was even thinking of doing some milling, similar to the CRK Pacific slabs...

Cricket, do you find it cuts into your hand along the edges when chopping, or pretty good?

what is the benefit of this, is it just for looks or does it add grip? it looks badass but it also looks like if your firngers don't fit exactly in the grooves it could not add grip can you please inform me and mabey post a pick with it in your hand si I can see where your fingers lay
thanks

it does add grip, i didnt do it to make finger groves but to add a bit more grippyness when wet with blood or water. mostly i just wanted it to look a bit differnt as well.

That is a beautiful job on those scales! I'm pretty sure cricketdave said that the scales are the same on the other side.;):D

I need to do this with my 4 - or maybe stipple it with a soldering iron.
my 3 came with textured G10, but the 4 is almost glass smooth.
