For some reason, I'm really intrigued by the benchmade griptilians modified sheepsfoot blade with thumbhole, but don't want to spend $100 only to find out I'm not a fan of it. Any suggestions?

I just got the mini version - very impressed! I am a fan of modified sheepsfoot blades and one of my other favourites is the BM Triage.

I guess for a cheap but solid option you could try a Byrd Meadowlark Rescue? It's a sheepsfoot but not the same profile unfortunately.

Big fan of the sheepsfoot myself, but not particularly fond of Benchmades version. I do however love my Grip with the standard blade and thumb stud.

Then why answer haha. But I was specifically looking at the modified version that I see only on higher end knives.

He's just trying to help. You specifically asked for suggestions and he gave you one.

If you're interested in the higher end knives, then you're probably gonna have to dish out the cash to find out for yourself.

Look at your original post. What else can I say? You're saying you want a sheepsfoot blade at under $100.
And it sounds like you only want the cheap one so you can check it out and see if it's worth getting the Benchmade, right?

So my suggestion to you would be; get a cheap folder with a sheepsfoot and see if you like it.
Go on (your-favorite-online-knife-retailer.com) and type "sheepsfoot" into their search bar and start browsing.
That's my suggestion.
