modify, stonewash, etch, blast ZT 350 Tiger Striped blade

Hi-
I picked up a ZT0350TS this past Friday, but I can not warm up to the tiger stripes. It was the only ZT my LGS had, they are a Benchmade dealer, so I bought it. What sold me was that the flipper was easy for me to deploy without looking at the knife as I have nerve damage that left my finger tips without feeling (ruling out thumb stud opening knives). I e-mailed ZT to see if I can get them to change out the blade for me. If not, what can I do to get rid of the tiger stripes? If nothing I will return it or trade it (the lgs will take a return but will only give store credit and they can not order me another ZT, only Benchmade for now). I really like the black wash that ZT offers on the 360.

I know ZT does blade replacements, but I pave only heard of them doing it for warranty issues. Maybe they would do it for you. Contacting them wil be the best course of action unless you can exchange it at the store you purchased it at
 
ZT does do blade replacement, there a fee for it, $20-$30 if I remember right.
 
Note that any mod other than a simple parts (scales/clips/etc) swap will generally void most knife warranties. Trading would be the easy solution IMO - find someone who would trade you a SW version.

This was my thought also. Easiest way to get it done, honestly.
 
Thanks guys. I am going to see what LGS will do as far as a return, if that does not work I will post it as a trade.
