. Let me start by saying I'm not starting this thread to see what to do with my knives. I'm one of the guys that will take a highly collectable knife, immediately disassemble it, and take the grinder to it, if I feel like I can improve the performance for how I intend to use it. I've done it on many occasions
Lol.
I want to see how many guys are like me, and how many just can't do it (won't)
I can completely understand both sides. To spend $300 $500, $600 and sometimes much more , and not wanting to either risk messing up, or ruining the resale value.
Knives that I don't see any room for improvement, will of course stay stock. I have seen some guys that modify just for the sake of modifying. Nothing wrong with that, but if the knife is already at optimal performance, I can't see touching it.
I know in my case, I'm doing this to balisongs, while some are very desired, they are less inclined to hold their resale value after flipping, but the question is relevant to all knives .
So who is like me, and won't think twice about it, and who will not touch them even if, for example, your prefer a wave, less belly, etc.
Thanks guys.
