Overall I like the Bravo1 alot, but I'm not enjoying where the thumb ramp is. I'm wondering if anyone has ground it off or had it done and what they thought of the results? Pictures would be great too.

I did something similar to what you are talking about to an SOG Trident folder(that shark fin thumbrest had to go) by using a flat diamond stone.

someone over in the W&SS subforum one or two people ground the hump off and were much happier with the knife after they did it.

i think that i will recommend that you follow the age old advice of avoiding excess heat in the blade when grinding, keep your fingers out of the way, tape the edge first, perhaps tape the handle material. be safe and be careful. take it easy and slow and you will get there before you notice it.

doesnt brkt do customs? maybe you could send it back and get it removed and polished and whatnot. anyways, siguy is right. someone of wilderness has done it and posted pictures a few months back. good luck

Thanks I'll search the WS forum for it and I think I'll check with BRKT how much they'd charge to grind it off for me. I'd hate to ruin it.
