I'm think of moding my handle on my 110

I'm wondering what is the material on the handle and can it sanded

Thanks

The standard production 110 has brass bolsters and a laminated wood for the covers.

I sanded the bolsters on one of mine (2015 production; not a vintage or collectable model, so no hate, please) with 320 grit wet or dry, for a "brushed" finish, that does not show fingerprints as much.

If I had a vintage or collectable, I would leave it as is (at most send it in for a SPA treatment) and get a nothing special standard production model from Walmart for modding.

You probably should. Plus, watch out for the heads of the pins holding the slabs on as sanding will flatten them and change the look. DM

When you sand the brass, those fine particles will wash over onto the wood. Then can get embedded. Brushing and careful sanding with remove them. Good luck. DM
