We have had the Becker/KA-BAR Mods in the Ka-BAR Booth at the Blade Show for several years. This year was no exception. They did a great job working the booth, keeping Ethan on task, and interacting with the crowd.
Thank for your help. It was much appprciated.
Also a special "Thanks" to Ethan, Steve Johnson and our KA-BAR Reps Matt Landsea and Mark Powers.
Lastly (but by no means, least) "Thanks" to all of the loyal KA-BAR and Becker Fans that came out to visit, buy and hobknob.

Best Regards,

lookie, it's a Steve Johnson!

i bought one knife during the show, and it was his :)

more than likely, i'll be picking up the new BK10, swabbie, zomstro, and many others (grass machete!) but did not wish to burden my knife mule with too much stuff.

MY gamestalker opened most of the shipped boxes, and made short work of the cardboard. depth control was straight forward - thing cuts like a scalpel. probably damn good on skinning a deer.

We had deals galore, and it was great seeing everyone. I especially liked sending people over to Tooj for a tactical-ice-scraper demo and watching their eyes get wide. Having beer behind the counter was fun too. Pulled in all sorts of riff-raff. :D

and the hundreds and hundreds of customers served, priceless!

I must say you Lads did a fine job.

Of course, I was only there for the beer! :p

Phil,

Your English Beer sensibilities were needed to validate the beer. Good to see you, Lola and your sons...good lookin young men if just a bit crazy...Hmmm, just like the old man! :p

Best Regards,

Toooj

Phil's English? i thought he sounded like a New Englander :D

you know if you abuse it, it will only haunt you later :)

Bob Dozier's beard vs. Steve Johnson's 'stache. Go...

Beer and knives all at the same counter.

Well, lucky for me and you I was not there. You would have had to have me arrested...notably for; drunk in public, loitering and vagrancy.

One thing I did not know though, and found out through a post on the Becker Forum by Bladite, I think, or maybe it was Guyon (one of the two) posted a pic of your factory seconds (it was a BK14).....Man, I love my 14!!! Anyway, when I saw that, and that it was 20 bucks(??) All I could wonder was.....short of BS, where could I get a factory second?

Stay tuned. Ka-bar is working on something. No promises yet though.

Out of curiosity, will there ever be a blade show say, in Norfolk or Virginia Beach; how about Richmond?
