Does the tip of this blade look a bit short to you? It's a 3.5" gen 4 sterile 20cv slicer flipper. It's seems short when I compare it to other pictures. The tip only just reaches that last jumping groove. In pictures they all seem to go past it.

Interesting. My gen 4 S35VN Slicer flipper's tip ends about half way between the last jimping groove and the end of the knife. Mine is a bit longer than yours. Clearly the knife had been used prior, could this be because the previous owner took some metal off? It seems as if the tip is a little more "blunt" than mine. In other words, it may be thicker behind the edge than mine is. This is comparing one knife to one other knife so maybe there are some variances between knives. If I had to speculate, yours is shorter due to sharpening or perhaps a broken tip being repaired. I will say that it is only a few millimeters so it doesn't change the knife's usefulness--especially if you bought it used at a decent price. On the other hand, if the seller didn't disclose that it was sharpened, it would kinda bug me.

Thanks for your response! I probably shouldn't discuss anything further, just looking for opinions. It's a fantastic knife!
