..with all the bells and whistle's ..

I really really like this knife, and decide to dress her up..
Kydex seemed appropriate, but naked kydex a bit .. well.. not enough :o

I added a pouch to contain whatever, and a firesteelloop, though I never use one my self.. this one had to have it.. I added a bracket that could hold either a droploop or a teklok, and I threaded a length of paracord..
The pouch fits a small multitool, a photon light and a sharpening stone, and then some..

enjoy the pics..

Very nice 'Ol Bud  Tell us more about the Shiv...I've been looking at them for a while now but still ain't sure.

Very cool and clean sheath. Will agree with the above statement, this is the best Shiv photo I've seen too. Good work.

Here it is compared to other knives in the same range..

I think I like it not because it's such a great bang for the buck, but more because that weird, short handle grew on me unexpectedly.. Its very comfortable for finer work, but the knife feels strong enough to be batonned the hell out of it..
I haven't used it for heavy work, but it replaced (for the time being) my Koster Bushcraft for everyday around the house tasks..
I don't really know why..
Is it because it's such a bang for the buck??

It's a great Bushcrafter that sharpens easy. The coating is very well done. Much better then the RD series.. It had quite a coarse and thick edge from the factory, but was shaving sharp..

The Shiv is a great knife. Feels just right in my hands and I have fat hands. I have a cord wrapped one that came with I believe a Normark sheath. Just threw a firesteel loop on it that I got from him prior. I'm liking the micarta slabs on that. What pouch is that. I've been thinking of doing the same

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at that sheath again. I love that thing. Hey, Martin, do you make those for others? I need a Shiv. :D

Edit: Well duh. I should have known this was a professional job. I checked his web page.

That is a great looking sheath. The Shiv makes a good bushcrafter and is overlooked my many.
